Nicole Barton R.P.
Nicole is a Registered Psychotherapist who brings with her a lengthy history of providing mental health supports to adolescents, young adults and their parents in the Ottawa area. Nicole’s approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, supportive and client centred. Nicole works from a framework that values her client’s wisdom into their own lives.
Nicole’s approach to therapeutic interventions are guided by evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Attachment Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
As well as providing individual therapy services, Nicole facilitates the Caregiver Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Group and offers individual DBT support in her practice. For individuals who have already completed DBT skills groups or currently enrolled in DBT skills group, Nicole offers individual support and/or after-care support.
